i would like more female characters in rockman! especially in rockman.exe. i like drawing female Navis.

however, i’m 100% not impressed by variations on “new female character created solely to be male main character’s girlfriend” like w/ rhythm.exe which Ryo made clear was the intent behind her concept. (especially in that case since blues.exe… shows no canon wish for a girlfriend…)

this is where i would draw exe girls…

IF IT HAD ANY

rational me: did u know that once i crunched the numbers for exe. there are about 176 unique characters in exe (not taking into account random NPCs.) out of these 176 characters, 150 are clearly meant to be identified by the audience as male. 95 of these dudes are NetNavis, 55 of them are humans. in stark comparison, there are 26 female characters, 22 of whom are human. there are only 4 female NetNavis in canon, 5 if you count silk.exe from the anime. ONLY 4 OUT OF 176 CHARACTERS. this is ridiculous. how did this fly. this is too many dudes on the dancefloor. wh

actual me: steals all exe girls from capcom’s hands and runs for the hills

AND OUT OF THOSE GIRL NAVIS, ONLY 3 WERE FIGHTABLE IN THE GAMES! (Ring.EXE from Battle Chip Challenge, Roll.EXE, and Meddy.EXE)

these ones, Anon? yes. some of the early designs for the NPC Navis were cute…. your mileage may vary on teapot-kun though.

it would have been nice if MMBN had more time and space to put in more standard NetNavis with unique sprites and icons or visible themes like miss strawberry here, in addition to the ones they used but alas. limitations of the era and budget.
